Our full time safety superintendent is in the field every day, promoting our program and assisting our employees and customers in their safety needs. Our safety team is equipped with all the equipment and resources needed to keep our jobsites in compliance with our safety program. We provide a 100% drug free workforce and are a Georgia Certified Drug Free Employer.
Our management team has years of experience and training in safety best practices. Our President, Carol Heaton, started her career over 35 years ago with the company as the full time safety director, and her commitment to the team safety approach is still foremost today in the guiding principles of our corporate culture. All of our managers have attended numerous safety training programs to enhance their knowledge and skills in our industry.
Our employees receive extensive, ongoing training. All of our crane operators are CCO certified, many with multiple competency ratings. In addition, we provide our employees with training in OSHA regulations, forklift certification, rigging certification, MSHA certification, Signalperson certification, DOT compliance, and drug free workplace requirements.
Heaton Erecting, Inc has been recognized by NCCCO for their time, effort, and resources expended in obtaining certification for their crane operators and related personnel. Crane operators, signalpersons, and riggers receive recognition for their knowledge and skill related to crane operations when they are issued a CCO certification card. The Committed to Crane Safety Program is an employer recognition program developed by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) to recognize companies that have demonstrated their commitment to safety by hiring CCO-certified personnel. Heaton Erecting is a proud supporter of the program and the recipient of the national recognition status.
Our preventive maintenance program ensures that our equipment is operated in the safest manner possible. We have two certified crane inspectors on staff to ensure that we are compliant with all regulatory requirements and our equipment is in safe and efficient working condition.
An important component of our safety program is our relationship with our insurers and risk management team. We provide the best insurance coverage available in our industry and work very closely with our customers to ensure that all risks are identified and appropriately insured. We take our overall risk management program very seriously and train our employees to do the same.
